Visiting Anchor?
Sunday Gathering - 10:00 a.m.
We know visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating, so we want to give you an idea of what to expect and answer some questions you may have before you even step foot at our location.
PARKING:
There are several parking spots in the downtown area. We also have handicap accessible parking and a ramp to get up the curb.
THE GATHERING:
The Worship Gathering begins at 10:00 a.m. Typically we sing 4-5 songs with a contemporary, modern feel. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday we take Communion. On the 3rd Sunday we celebrate with baptism for those who have made Jesus their Lord and need to follow in obedience with this step.
Dress is laid back with no expectation. Most people you will see with casual, everyday wear. Pastor Jason usually preaches in jeans and a button shirt.
ATTENDING SERVICES:
It's a good idea to arrive at Anchor Church about 10 minutes early to give you enough time to stop by the Welcome Desk as well as check your children into Anchor Kids (infant - 3 and 4-8) if needed. Anchor Kid's is a great place for your children to hear and understand more about God in a way that's appropriate for thier age. This also gives you the opportunity to engage in the service without distraction. On the first Sunday of each month we do Family First Sunday. During this Sunday, there is no seperate children's ministry and we worship together corporately the entire service. We also offer free coffee for anyone interested in having some during the gathering.
OUR FACILITY AND GREETERS:
We desire that you feel at home the moment you arrive at Anchor Church. Our greeters will help you with any questions you may have and walk you to any part of the building you may be looking for. We have one large gathering area where you can get coffee, connect with others and meet new friends. We hope that you feel honored as our guest and pray that if God is sending you to be on mission with us, you will be obedient to His call. We look forward to seeing you soon.
